Avoid using the oven during hot summer afternoons.

does this matter if you don't have an air conditioner in the kitchen/central air...aside from making yourself more uncomfortable when it's hot?

Description

Avoid using the oven during hot summer afternoons. This indirectly heats up the house and requires cooling systems, such as whole house or room unit air conditioners, to work harder and consume more energy to maintain a comfortable temperature.
