Description

A bit of an conflict given that we're encouraging you to USE your computer for StepGreen! But, after you are done with your session, consider getting away from the screen for an hour and simply doing an activity that doesn't require energy. Make sure your computer gets turned off or goes into sleep mode first! Then, take a walk, take a nap, read a book (the paper version), play a game with your kids.

Assumptions We Made

We assume a desktop computer (200Watts) and flat-panel display (65Watts), and that alternate, non-energy consuming activity is done for an hour. http://www.psnh.com/Residential/ReduceBill/ApplianceUsage.asp
