Description
Instead of using the elevator, take the stairs at work. For journeys up or down one or two floors, get some exercise and save the energy of calling the elevator to your floor and riding the elevator to the next.Tags

Assumptions We Made
350 W/floor estimate, either up or down (esp as many trips from a higher floor may require the elevator to come up to that floor). Assume that each workday the stairs are used to go one floor 4 times (up/down for work, up/down for lunch).Impacts
Initial Impacts
Each time you carry out this action, the immediate impacts are:
- Saves 0.03 dollars
- Saves 0.35 kilowatt hours
- Saves 0.48 lbs of CO2
Ongoing Impacts
Some actions also have additional impact over time. For this action, these are:
- Unknown
Potential Annual Impact
We assume that this action will be carried out daily (about 160 times a year). In this case, in a year you could save:- 5.44 dollars
- 56.00 kilowatt hours
- 76.16 lbs of CO2
